Want to win a Halloween zip pouch? *CLOSED*

It's easy! Leave a comment either on this post or on Purdy Burdy's Facebook page, telling me what you will be or want to be this Halloween.

If you've read any of my posts you will know Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love the cooler weather, treats, costumes, decorations, but I've never been one to dress up. Sure, back in the day I rocked the plastic face mask with matching smock of whatever character was popular that year, but even as a child I never went all out in the costume department. It's different with my kids. This is the first year I'm not making their costumes and it's a nice break, but I will still bring out all the stops with their costumes. Come October 31st I will have a 50's Car Hop, and a Headless Horseman walking my halls.

So whether or not you are a costumer, post your costume ideas and I will live vicariously through you.

The winner will pick their choice of any Halloween zip pouch from the Purdy Burdy Handmade shop. I'm adding more zip pouches daily, so hopefully one strikes your fancy. Contest will end Monday 10/03 @ 5pm. I will pick a winner at random and contact them for zip pouch choice shipping info. I will send the winner the zip pouch of their choice on Tuesday 10/04 via UPS Ground, tracking will be provided once the item is shipped.

That's it! Easy right? Happy Haunting.

Right around the corner

Yes, it's the middle of August, and yes, it's still considered summertime, and no, the kids aren't back in school yet, but...it's never to early to prepare for Halloween!!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I just love fall in general. The changing of the season, cooler weather, dinners and baking where I can use the oven because in the summer it's way too hot to use, sending the kids back to school, and decorating for Halloween.

While most people think I jump the gun when shopping for the kids costumes early September, I'm the one who beats the crowds and doesn't stress when it comes down to the Halloween wire. Yes, I have been in Party City searching for a costume a week before Halloween, not fun people!

So in the spooky spirit of things, I'll be adding some Halloween items to the shop. I have some cute and festive hair clips perfect for any adult and child, along with some Halloween zip pouches that will make you scream! OK, I'm going a little overboard. Here are some items that will be added to the shop.

Watch for a giveaway early September and enter to win a Halloween hair clip or zip pouch. I'll be adding Halloween items daily, so check the Purdy Burdy Handmade Etsy shop often!

You may go back to enjoying your summer...but fall is just around the corner!
